US Mobile Medical Services Technology Developer Paired Health builds Uber in the medical world

According to MedCityNews, a US health information website, a recent management document submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shows that the US-based mobile medical technology development company Paired Health (hereinafter referred to as "Paired") plans to raise $1.75 million.

Paired has developed a navigation device that locates patients who have been discharged but need a return visit from a doctor or nurse and sends the appropriate information to the hospital or other care facility. Once the hospital receives this information, it can quickly send a doctor or nurse to the patient's home in a targeted manner. Paired hopes that through this service, the second hospitalization rate of discharged patients can be greatly reduced, so that discharged patients can enjoy high-quality follow-up medical services at home.

It is reported that Paired has previously cooperated with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and several other hospitals to pilot the above service model. In addition to requiring a doctor to go to the doctor, the patient can also make a home care request with the Paired service platform. Paired said that for medical staff sent by the hospital, Paired will provide hardware and software support, including vehicles that transport medical staff. These vehicles have Wi-Fi connectivity and can function as a mobile infirmary.

Although the Paired service sounds a bit like a Uber taxi service for medical staff, Paired said the company's services are similar to those of FedEx, Open Table, and Amazon. The Paired platform also provides risk analysis tools to assess the medical risks of target patients. Paired will first analyze the medical history of the target patient and then propose the most feasible medical plan.

The re-improvement of traditional telephone seeking methods has attracted the interest of many companies. The University of Kansas previously developed an application called "Well Car" with Ford Motor and US telecom operator Sprint. The original intention was to solve the problem of insufficient number of doctors and inadequate medical services for chronic patients.
