Microsoft builds smart watches: allows Parkinson patients to write and write

First pay tribute to Microsoft. At the most important Build Developer Conference of the year, Microsoft will put down its own ace product show in the most golden time, and use a few minutes of video to introduce a story of Microsoft's use of the latest technology to change the lives of people with disabilities. Last year, smart glasses introduced by visual recognition and voice enabled people with disabilities to “see” the world again. This year, smart watches were used to make the hands of Parkinson’s patients tremble.

After a few minutes of short video broadcast, the audience burst out with the warmest applause. At this developer conference filled with boring code, such a human story is a little moving. While sighing the latest technology, I feel the warmth of humanity. Black technology can be both cool and warm.

This year's warm little story comes from the UK. The two female protagonists are Emma Lawton, innovation director of Microsoft Research, Shandong girl Zhang Haiyan and Parkinson's disease, graphic designer Emma Lawton. After the keynote speech, the two of them sat in front of the media such as Sina Technology and introduced the little stories between them.

Before the diagnosis of Parkinson four years ago, Lawton was originally a graphic designer, full of enthusiasm and yearning for his future career. However, as her condition became more serious, her right hand trembled more and more frequently. Lawton found that she could not draw pictures on paper, and even her own name could not be written.

Lawton never gave up hope. From the day she was diagnosed with illness, she began looking for various drugs and treatments until she found the BBC TV's live-action recording "Big Life Fix." This program is for the people who need help to find the best inventors in the UK, hoping to use their latest technology to solve their problems.

A year and a half ago, Lawton found Zhang Haiyan with the help of the BBC. At that time, Zhang Haiyan had just given birth to a child less than three months and was still in maternity leave. Zhang Haiyan promised to help Lawson overcome the hand shake and re-find the joy of life through the technology of Microsoft Research Institute.

Zhang Haiyan immigrated to Australia at the age of 9 and obtained a master's degree in interactive design in Italy after receiving a degree in computer science in Australia. She has a diverse life experience and has lived in Australia, Canada, Italy, and the United States, and currently works in the UK.
