Large-scale farm meat sheep fattening supplement points

First, supplementation of meat sheep barriers refers to a technique for setting lamb feeding columns at places where ewe activity is concentrated, and feeding the lambs. Its purpose is to: speed up the growth of lambs, reduce the size difference between single lambs and lambs and lambs born later; lay a good foundation for improving the fattening effect, especially shortening the fattening period; at the same time, it also reduces the frequency of the lambs' licking of the ewes so that Ewes maintain a longer period of lactation during peak periods.

Second, need to supplement the lamb feeding

Including planned lambs for early weaning at 2 months of age, two lambs of ewes, winter lambs, lambs of purebred ewes, lambs of multiple ewes, and lambs born after the lambing period.

Third, start feeding time at the fence

Larger sheep usually start feeding at 15-21 days of age. If the lambing period lasts longer and the lambs are not concentrated, they can be carried out in batches according to the size of the lambs; When the lamb starts feeding, the earliest one can advance to the lamb when it is 10 days old.

4. Ingredients for feeding lambs at the fence

The roughage supplemented by lambs is best to use hay or high quality hay. Lambs are eaten freely by using a straw frame or a hanging handle. Concentrates include corn, soybean cake, bran, etc. The corn supplemented by lambs before 1 month of age is It is advisable to use large pieces of crushed granules. Afterwards, it is better to use whole grains of corn. Pay attention to adjusting the amount of feed for roughage and concentrate feeds according to the season. For example, in the early spring, the lamb supplementation time before the germination of green grass, the hay should be dominated by alfalfa, while the mixed concentrate is mainly corn; while the lamb supplementation time in the late spring is in the peak period of green grass, but the hay is not fed, but the mixed concentrate contains corn. In addition, appropriate amount of bean cake should be added to maintain the dietary protein level of not less than 15%. Two common feed formulations are introduced for reference in production.

1. In areas that do not have feed processing conditions: 60% corn, 20% oats or barley, 10% bran, 10% soybean cake. Every 10 kg of the mixture is added with 0.4 g of chlortetracycline or oxytetracycline, a small amount of bone meal, and the whole grain is mixed well.

2. In regions with feed processing conditions: 20% corn, 10% bran, 20% oats or barley, 10% soybean cake, 10% bone meal, 30% molasses. For every 10 kilograms of concentrate, add 0.4 g of chlortetracycline or oxytetracycline. The above raw materials are mixed in proportions to make pellets, and the diameter is preferably 0.4-0.6 cm.

V. Feeding and Management of Feeding

1. Prepare a suitable number of stalls. The area of the stalls is calculated based on 0.15 square meters for each lamb; the width of the inlet and outlet is about 20 centimeters and the height is 40 centimeters, so it is advisable not to squeeze the lamb. Clean and sterilize the fence.

2. Feeding technical points. At the beginning of feeding, put some corn and bean cake in the feeding trough during the day. Every day, no matter what the lamb eats, it is replaced with a new one. After the lamb learns to eat, it will be fed daily on a daily basis. The average daily food intake is 40-50 grams per serving, and 300-350 grams in the later period. The total consumption of the mixture is 8-10 kilograms. When feeding, it is better to discharge once a day and the lambs eat within 30 minutes. Time can be arranged in the morning or evening, but with better light. During feeding, if the lamb is found to be unfit for feed, the type of feed can be changed.
