There is an article in the Huinong School about several precautions for feeding green-green feed. It has been mentioned that gentian seedlings can poison pigs. In fact, other green feeds other than gentile grass can cause pig poisoning. In the case of poisoning, how should farmers judge? How to detoxify?
The natural feed that can cause pig poisoning is as follows:
1. Leaves and seeds of eucalyptus, cherry, flax, plum, apricot, peach, and plum;
2, cassava, sprouted potatoes;
3, dog claw beans, beans;
4, sorghum seedlings, corn seedlings.
The four types of natural feeds listed above contain a substance called cyanogenic acid. Once reacted with hydrochloric acid in the stomach of the pig and enzymes in the body, it will be hydrolyzed to phenylpropanal and hydrocyanic acid, resulting in pig poisoning. Moreover, the above natural feed causes the poisoning of pigs to be very fast. Generally, if the pigs only take about 18 minutes after consumption, poisoning will occur (especially cassava and germinated potatoes will be more toxic).
In the early stage of poisoning: Poisoned pigs will initially turn from excitement to depression, and then there will be a phenomenon of mouth drooling. At the same time, if the pig's eyes are observed, it is obvious that the mucous membrane is red.
Mid-poisoning: If there is no timely and effective treatment, the pigs will have frequent urination, hypothermia, diarrhea and abdominal pain, and severe breathing difficulties or even paralysis.
Late poisoning: Once the pig has been paralyzed, it is very difficult to rescue. After the smashing, the whole body's reflection will disappear and the pupil will become bulky, eventually dying in convulsions.
Therefore, once the pigs have eaten these natural feeds that may cause poisoning, and the feed intake is large enough, it is best to treat them at the beginning of the poisoning. At the beginning of the poisoning, the farmers must remember that the mental depression, redness of the mucous membranes of the eyes, and abnormal mouth drooling are symptoms of pig poisoning. The treatment can be intravenously administered with a 5% sodium nitrite solution, and the 10% sodium thiosulfate solution neutralizes the toxins in the pig.
If the pig poisoning is not discovered in time, then you must grasp the life-saving tail in the middle of poisoning. If it is found in pigs with frequent urination, decreased body temperature, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing, it is still possible to recover. Diacetyl niacinamide (also known as nikethamide) has a good therapeutic effect on animal central respiratory and circulatory failure. If the pig has respiratory distress, the pig can be injected with adrenaline hydrochloride solution to improve breathing.
In short, before the occurrence of porcine poisoning and the occurrence of sputum in the mid-term, the possibility of recovery is relatively large. Once the pig poisoning is deep, the chance of death is great.
Therefore, in order to avoid the phenomenon of poisoning in pigs, the above four types of natural feeds are not suitable for pigs, unless they are properly fermented to feed pigs. Farmers must not be lucky in the process of raising pigs. The above four natural green feeds can be fed without being fed in case of poisoning.
