Low production ducks should be eliminated in time

Some duck farmers in rural areas know that the duck production rate is low, but they are still reluctant to eliminate them. For long-term feeding ducks, not only each day consumes about 150 grams of feed, and few or even eggs are produced, which reduces the economic benefits of the entire duck population. So, how long is the production of ducks in the end to be more profitable?

Ducks generally start production around the age of 120 days. The egg production rate is the highest in the first egg production, and the annual production of eggs can reach 20 kilograms per year. The egg production rate for the second egg production is generally reduced by 5% to 10%, and the third egg production year will decline even more. The lazy duck has poor mobility, difficulty in herding and feeding, poor adaptability to climate change, high feed consumption and low utilization rate. Many egg duck farmers report that they also produce 1 kg of duck eggs, and the old ducks consume about 20% more feed than new ducks.

According to the characteristics that the laying duck has the highest egg production rate in the first laying year, the feeding and management at this stage should be strengthened so that the entire duck group can exert its maximum production potential in the best production period.

After the first year of production of ducks and ducks, it is necessary to selectively eliminate them according to the duck's egg production, remove low-yielding ducks, and retain high-yield ducks. The most reliable way to eliminate low-producing laying ducks is to continuously “pour eggs” to those ducks that are initially identified as low-producing, that is, touching the mouth of the laying duck with the fingers to the mouth of the cloaca and touching the eggs. Will not touch the duck of the egg isolate, to touch the next day, the third day, if touched three or four times still can not touch the egg, it should be eliminated. However, even if the egg production rate is low, it should not be eliminated from the new duck group that was cultivated in the spring. When ducks and ducks are aged between 500 and 600 days, it is necessary to determine whether they need to be kept according to the prices of duck eggs and feedstuffs in the market. If the sales revenue of duck eggs is greater than the cost of ducks, the entire duck population can still be raised. Otherwise, it means that the ducks are no longer profitable, and all ducks should be eliminated.

Hearing Protection

Hearing protection refers to devices used to protect the ear, either externally from elements such as cold, intrusion by water and other environmental conditions, debris, or specifically from noise. High levels of exposure to noise may result in noise-induced hearing loss. Measures to protect the ear are referred to as hearing protection, and devices for that purpose are called hearing protection devices. In the context of work, adequate hearing protection is that which reduces noise exposure to below 85DB over the course of an average work shift of eight hours.Different types of hearing protection may be utilized to maximize hearing protection. OSHA regulations dictate whether hearing protection is required and if the company must participate in a hearing conservation program.
